Beursfoon Suzuki Team shows good speed in the supercross in Zuidbroek (NL)

The Beursfoon Rockstar Suzuki Team is looking back at the Dutch Supercross in Zuidbroek with mixed feelings. The American Michael Leib was fast enough to win but lost the lead because of a broken gear shifter in the main event on Saturday. On Sunday he got ill and wasn’t able to race. The track was perfect for the GP of Great Britain. The weather conditions were good but very hot for the riders as the sun was present since the early morning.

The track of Kegums, in Latvia, has hosted the 10th round of the Motocross World Championship and 2nd round of the European MX2, which has seen the riders of the Silver Action, Davide Guarneri and Mihail “Mr” Cociu, to defend the colors of the team in MX1; Robin Kappel and Tim Gajser have instead given battle in the European Championship 250.

José Butron of Diga Racing Team 5th overall in Latvia

Last night we had heavy rain in Kegums so this morning the track was tougher than yesterday. José had some problems during the warm-up and he had the 22nd chrono. Priit however finished with a good 12th chrono.

José Butron had the holeshot followed by Van Horebeek and Searle. During the second lap Van Horebeek passed him but José attacked immediately and got the leader position back .....

The first race José was seventh after the start and after the first lap he was riding in 10th position behind Guillod and in front of Kevin Fors. José stayed in 10th position for a few laps. Yesterday evening it started raining but luckily it didn't rain all night and this morning the track was perfect. The temperature was some degrees less than yesterday and so the ideal weather conditions for motocross.

In the warm-up session this morning, José Butron achieved the 9th chrono and Priit Rätsep was 29th.

FIRST PODIUM FOR JOSE BUTRON AND DIGA RACING TEAM

Today the GP riders were at the starting gate at the Beto Carrero track for the GP of Brazil. The heavy rain of last night changed the track in a puddle, so it was a tough job for the riders. Although for Diga Racing Rider José Butron it looked as if it was nuts for him. José achieved a great performance and the young Spaniard won his first podium in his career.

For the first overseas GP of this season, the GP riders are in Guadalajara, Mexico. The track is situated at a height of about 1700M and the temperature is extremely high, 37°c. After the long flight these conditions are not easy for the riders. Finger injury for Ceriel Klein Kromhof

Ceriel Klein Kromhof of the CKK JR Honda Team injured his finger in the second moto of the first Dutch Open round in Oss last Sunday. After a seventh position in the first moto he crashed in the beginning of the second moto and injured his finger. By the crash his finger got wedged between the clutch lever and handlebar. This tore off his nail and ripped the flesh up to his second knuckle.

Maik Voorwinden shows his potential in superbiker in Mettet

Maik Voorwinden of Team Voorwinden had a successful weekend at the 25th edition of the VOO Superbiker in Mettet. 266 riders were in for the race. On Friday Maik set the fastest time of all 266 riders and on Sunday he finished fifth in the supermoto final.
